Love on a Leash®

The Northwest Arkansas chapter was established in April of 2017. The chapter coordinates multiple group visits each month at the Arkansas State Veterans Home and Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, as well as serving at various programs and events in Washington and Benton counties. Most members visit additional sites independently. We also periodically join forces with other area therapy teams to promote and support the bonds of therapy work in our community.

Meet Our Chapter Co-Leaders

Shannon Stowe has been the Northwest Arkansas chapter co-leader since August of 2022. She lives in Fayetteville with her husband and four pups, and has been certified with Bo the "100% Good Boy" since 2019; Shannon works as an aid with special needs children at a local elementary school and when she is not volunteering with Love on a Leash®, she enjoys crafting and even more volunteering! Her favorite part about volunteering with Love on a Leash® is watching faces light up when they lock eyes on our furry friends.

Chapter Co-Leader

Larry Gramling has been the Northwest Arkansas co-leader since April of 2017. He lives in Centerton, AR, with his wife Theresa and their animal "children". He is currently certified with Yukon the Great Pyrenees/Anatolian Shepherd Mix and Poe the Newfoundland. He has had 3 certified therapy pets in total since 2015. Larry is a Senior ISR (Inside Sales Rep) with United Rentals and when he is not volunteering with Love on a Leash®, he enjoys hiking, and hanging out with his dogs on the Bentonville AR Square. His favorite part about volunteering with Love on a Leash® is attending reading programs at the local libraries and working as a Runway Rover at the NW Arkansas National Airport.
