Established in January of 2019, by Ruth Hagan and Sheri Harrell, the Northern Nevada chapter serves Reno, Sparks, Fernley, Fallon, and the surrounding areas. Under Ruth Hagan’s leadership, the chapter’s small but mighty group of dedicated volunteer teams bring comfort, joy, and companionship to their community through the healing power of pet therapy, spreading smiles and kindness across Northern Nevada.

Meet Our Chapter Leader

Ruth Hagan has been a devoted Love on a Leash® volunteer since 2017 and leads the Northern Nevada chapter with warmth and compassion. She shares the joy of pet therapy with her two wonderful dogs — Schatzi, a Miniature Dachshund, and Windi, a Labrador Retriever — who bring comfort and smiles wherever they go. Ruth’s dedication and leadership help strengthen her chapter’s mission of spreading love, connection, and healing throughout the Northern Nevada community.
