Love on a Leash®

The Fayetteville chapter was established in September of 2012. The chapter coordinates multiple group visits each month at senior living facilities, hospitals, schools and libraries in Fayetteville and the surrounding towns; many members visit additional sites independently. We also participate in community events and take advantage of any opportunity to share our pets.

Meet Our Chapter Leader

Jeanne Lythgoe has been the Fayetteville chapter leader since April of 2016. She lives in Fayetteville and began her certification journey with Gracie the St. Bernard, in 2015. Sadly, she crossed the Rainbow Bridge in August 2021; she then certified with Fred, another St. Bernard in 2023, but he also joined Gracie in 2025. Now she is training her 3rd rescued St. Bernard, Bette Davis, and plans to become certified with her when she is ready. Jeanne works in healthcare and when she is not working or volunteering with Love on a Leash®, she enjoys crafting. Her favorite part about volunteering with Love on a Leash® is seeing the therapeutic benefits it brings both our volunteer teams and those we serve.
