Central Kentucky

Love on a Leash®

The Central Kentucky chapter was established in April of 2007. The chapter coordinates multiple group visits each month at senior living facilities, schools, libraries, and hospitals in Lexington and the surrounding counties, with many members visiting additional sites independently. We also host periodic team socials and participate in community events.  We especially love the “Paws to Read” program at our local library branches, the Lexington St. Patrick’s Day parade, as well as the annual Christmas parade.

Meet Our Chapter Leader

Analisa Wagoner has been with the Love on a Leash® Central Kentucky chapter since 2017, stepping into the role of Chapter Leader in April of 2022. She lives in Lexington with her 11-½ year old Love on a Leash® certified Golden Retriever Henley, and her 3 year old Lab Mix Frankie, who just completed his Love on a Leash® therapy dog training. Analisa is actively involved in her community and when she is not volunteering with Love on a Leash®, she volunteers with a local dog rescue (Saved By Fate), enjoys horseback riding, all things French, and the arts in the Bluegrass. Her favorite part about volunteering with Love on a Leash® is getting to share her people-loving dogs Henley and Frankie, and seeing all the smiles they bring to everyone’s faces.
