Love on a Leash®

Established on August 20, 2018, by Michael Colombo and Kathy Knott, the Central Arizona chapter continues to make a positive impact through compassionate pet therapy visits. Under Kathy’s leadership, the chapter’s ten dedicated volunteers share their therapy pets’ love and comfort with people throughout the community, bringing smiles and connection wherever they go.

Meet Our Chapter Leader

A devoted Love on a Leash® volunteer since 2018, Kathy Knott leads the Central Arizona chapter with compassion and enthusiasm. She currently visits with Gracie Lee, her certified therapy Shorkie (Shih Tzu-Yorkie), while honoring the sweet service of her first therapy Shorkie, Mattie May, who is now retired. As chapter leader, Kathy supports and encourages her volunteers, helping them share comfort, companionship, and smiles throughout the community.
