Love on a Leash®

The Clearfield chapter was established in April 2024 and is currently the only chapter in Pennsylvania; we look forward to growing our presence in the area. We currently have regularly-scheduled visits at nursing homes and welcome visits to schools, libraries, and hospitals in Clearfield and the surrounding towns. Teams also visit various facilities independently and we are happy to participate in community events; we take advantage of any opportunity to share our pets!

Meet Our Chapter Leader

Mary Jo Turner has been certified with her Goldendoodle, Rosie, since 2022 and established the Clearfield chapter in April 2024. She is working now with Quinn the Doodle to also become a certified Love on a Leash® therapy dog. Mary Jo works from home in customer service for a large construction company and when she is not working or volunteering with Love on a Leash®, she enjoys crafting, reading, and spending time with her family. Mary Jo’s favorite part about volunteering with Love on a Leash® is not only seeing the therapeutic benefits the people we visit receive after visiting with our pets, but also the positive benefits our volunteers take away from these visits.
