Mandi Broderick lives in Morehead, KY, and has been training and competing with dogs for many years. Mandi shares her home with three Golden Retrievers (Goose, Merlin, and Kairi), one American Cocker Spaniel (Atlas), and one Standard Poodle (Calypso [pictured]). Mandi certified her first therapy dog, Goose, in 2018 and has been active in the therapy dog community ever since. Mandi and Goose volunteered in nursing homes, libraries, elementary schools, college campuses, and many other locations. Goose retired in August 2025 and Calypso has been following in his pawprints since 2024. Mandi is an accredited dog trainer with the IAABC and when not volunteering she loves to compete in dog sports, including Conformation, Obedience, Rally, Barn Hunt, FastCAT, and UpDog Frisbee. Her favorite part of Love on a Leash® is seeing smiles light up on people's faces when they encounter therapy dogs.
