Love on a Leash®

The Indy chapter of Love on a Leash® was established in November of 2009. Our chapter coordinates many group visits each month at hospitals, nursing homes/senior living centers, elementary and high schools, the Indiana National Guard Armory, adult daycare centers, recovery centers, and college campuses in Indianapolis and surrounding areas. Some of our members visit sites independently as well.

Meet Our Chapter Leadership Team

As a large group, our chapter benefits from having a leadership team that ensures our teams have the support they need. They are: Marilyn Baumgardt (2011), Debby Adams (2018), and Jill Maniakas (2013). Jill is a retired teacher and Debby is enjoying a break from employment to focus on Love on a Leash® visits. We all live in the Indianapolis area and meet to exercise and socialize our pups every morning at our local dog park at 7:15AM. Our chapter is currently welcoming many new teams and we are so excited to see their fur babies grow into wonderful therapy pets! We all agree that our very favorite part of the Love on a Leash® experience is the joy we see on peoples' faces when they meet and interact with our pets.
