Meet Our Chapter Co-Leaders
Lisa Hopkins lives in West Lafayette and has been a Love on a Leash volunteer since
2024. She has volunteered with therapy dogs since 2016. Her first therapy dogs were
Fiona, a Samoyed and Fergus, a Keeshond. Their legacy continues with Molly, a sweet,
petite domestic shorthair cat; Elroy, a happy, friendly Keeshond; and Zoey, a gentle,
affectionate Siberian Husky. Lisa is a self-employed jewelry artist who appreciates having
the flexibility to participate in a variety of pet therapy visits. She helped establish the
Tippecanoe County Chapter in 2026.

Pam Schendel worked for over 30 years in veterinary medicine as a veterinary technology educator. In 2010 she started with her first therapy dog, Jill, a sweet labrador retriever. Four more therapy dogs, all labrador retrievers, followed: the late Aggy and Frankie, and her current dogs Kipper, who offers a calm presence at a child advocacy center and helps children in the court system, and Ridge, who loves all the attention. Pam helped establish the Tippecanoe County Chapter in 2026 and is also a AKC evaluator.
