Love on a Leash®

Established on October 7, 2004, by Deborah Van Gelder and Juliana Alexander, the East Valley Chapter serves the communities of Redlands, Riverside, Yucaipa, and San Bernardino. Now led by Cherry Bordelon, the chapter’s five dedicated volunteer teams share the comfort and joy of pet therapy with people throughout the region, bringing smiles and connection wherever they visit.

Meet Our Chapter Leader

Cherry Bordelon has been a devoted Love on a Leash® volunteer since 2004 and now leads the East Valley Chapter with warmth and dedication. She shares the joy of pet therapy alongside her Yorkie, Oliver (Ollie), brightening the days of everyone they meet. With her many years of experience, Cherry continues to inspire others and foster meaningful connections through the power of the human-animal bond.
