Love on a Leash®

Established on May 6, 2014, by Nancy Roy and Kim Hayes, the Central Washington chapter continues to bring comfort and joy to its community through meaningful pet therapy visits. Under Nancy’s dedicated leadership, the chapter’s nine volunteer teams share the love of their therapy pets with people of all ages, spreading kindness, connection, and smiles throughout the region.

Meet Our Chapter Leader

Nancy Roy has been a dedicated Love on a Leash® volunteer since 2011 and together with Kim formed the Central Washington chapter in 2014. She shares the joy of pet therapy with her friendly Labrador, Mari, bringing comfort and smiles to everyone they visit. As a Chapter Leader, Nancy is passionate about supporting her volunteers and fostering connections that highlight the healing power of the human-animal bond.
